SGM it was good to meet you on the Andersonville Prison site as the SGM in the prison compound area. I have a question I hope you might be able to help me with. Where do I find the the intake records for family members that were admitted to US National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers 1866-1938? I have Civil War era family members who spent their last days in some of them. thank you Kathy

We talked at Chickamuaga in September about Andersonville in March. Please send me the dates and contact information. We had also talked about an Honor Guard at the event. I'm interested and may have a couple others from our unit as well.
Look foward to hearing from you.

It was great getting to meet you at Chickamauga in the bookstore and get your book of letters. My son Dietrich and I were there for the 150th reenactment. We didn't get to spend enough time on the battlefield but will be back for sure. We did get to see the places where my grandfather fought, where Colonel Baldwin of the 6th Indiana fell, and where John B.Anderson whom our SUVCW camp is named for was taken prisoner. We are planning to spend several days perhaps a week touring and studying Missionary Ridge and Kennesaw Mountain this coming summer the first part of June. You said to contact you and we maybe able to coordinate some your guide services.Looking forward to hearing from you and firming up my calendar as the summer approaches.
